Welcome to KMF

(2011 Leadership Grant recipient Ann C. Herbert (MPH, University of Chicago) presenting to the Global Health Initiative at the Medical Women Association of Nigeria’s 17th Biennial Conference.)

Dear Friend of KMF,

Thank you for your interest in The Katie Memorial Foundation, Incorporated (KMF). As Katie’s widower, on behalf of the friends and family members who run KMF, it is an honor to introduce our organization to you.

Since 2007, KMF has honored the life and work of Katie Evans by pursuing our mission, to advance excellence in the international field of public health by supporting innovative, pioneering, grassroots-level projects undertaken by students.

In that time, we have awarded $26,000 to 26 student leaders working in 12 countries around the world through our Katie Evans Memorial Scholarships and KMF Leadership Grants.

The menu to the left will help you get to know our programs and our organization. The best way to support KMF is to make a tax-deductible donation to support our programs .

We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,
John W. Evans, Executive Director

(A note about our “green apples” logo: Katie loved tart fruit—the less ripe, the better—especially sour green apples.)

The Katie Memorial Foundation is a 501( c )(3) federally tax-exempt charitable nonprofit organization. The KMF taypayer identification number is 74-3250765.
